Honda CB1000R:

Honda has recently launched it superbike Honda CB1000R to attract the superbike lovers in India. Honda CB1000R is designed for Indian market and is priced around Rs. 9,50,000. Honda CB1000R features a naked beauty with an aggressive look that conveys powerful impression of performance.

Honda CB1000R is equipped with a 998 cc, 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC engine with a 6-speed gearbox, that delivers maximum power of 92 kW at 10000 rpm and maximum torque of 1000 Nm @8000 rpm. Its powerful engine delivers breathtaking power and awesome torque that pulls this superbike in the race or to climb an uphill with tremendous ease. It includes fully-adjustable radial front brakes, forks, single-backbone frame and all digital dashboards that make riding more convenient.

Honda CB1000R is equipped with ABS (Antilock Braking System) which functions on slippery and uneven road surfaces. This system works when sudden brakes applied on 2 wheels and it applies brake pressure for smooth and steady deceleration of the bike. Other features includes dual piston caliper, mono shock rear shock absorbers coupled with adjustable HMAS damper in addition to 310mm floating front-disc brakes.

The compact bikini cowl of the Honda CB1000R with its close to triangle-shaped multi-reflector headlight and distinctive LED position lamp gives this bike a killing look. It is designed primarily for Europe (it won't even go on sale in Japan or the USA in the immediate future), hence its sharp, angular styling.

Overall it's aggressive, shoulder-heavy and arresting, so it has the looks to be a Fight Club contender, and with its Fire-blade-derived motor the potential for real muscle is there too.

If there were any concerns about the bike's lack of power compared with, say, the 148bhp Yamaha or 161 bhp BMW, a twist of the throttle dispels them.

The wind deflector helps to some extent, but long motorway journeys won't be a huge fun.
