Kawasaki Ninja 250R:

Where ever you turn in the world of fast bikes, street or racing, the Ninja is always there.

What is new is the small displacement version of the bigger brother - the Ninja ZX-10R - and it is called the Ninja 250R. Presented at the Paris "Mondial du Deux Roues" bike exhibition, from a quick glance, it's difficult to distinguish the difference between the models; the 250R looks serious...

The 250 cc sports bike has enough power to satisfy most riders, specially the beginner. The 250R produces 23.5 kW power (for the carburetor version, the injection version gives you slightly less; 22.2 kW).

With the power comes a torque of 21.7 Nm at 10,000 revs for the carburetor version, 21.0 Nm at 8,500 for the injection version.

The clutch is a wet, multi disc version, and selection of the 6 gears is manual.

Dry weight of the bike is 151 Kgs for the carburetor version, 1 kg extra for the injection version. The carburetor version holds 18 liters of fuel, the injection holds 17.5 liters.

The carburetor version is sold in the USA, Canada and Australia, the injection version in Europe and Japan.

Not only there are two different versions in the world, depending on where you live, but also different colors.

There are two main colors available worldwide, Kawasaki Green and Ebony.

In the USA, you will also get Candy Plasma Blue and in the USA, Canada and Australia, there is also the possibility for Passion Red.

This is a really nice bike, more than enough for a beginner. It's a great stepping stone to build experience before migrating to the bigger models.
